Pork Ribs cooked in the Oven can turn out to be one of the most enjoyable dishes invented especially when it is roasted slowly and the meat becomes juicy and tender and altogether a delicious meal to be looked forward to.

It’s always best to plan your meal ahead because marinating the pork ribs will make it taste an out of this world experience. To make things easier, get the ribs separated from the rack by a butcher, although you can go ahead and roast the full rack if you prefer it that way. Removing the membrane is recommended for the marinate to absorb into the meat.

Here’s an easy way of roasting pork ribs in the oven

1st Step
Have the ribs cut by the butcher, into 3 pieces if small and into 4 pieces if big, this makes it easier for you and saves time too. Try using a straight edged knife instead of a serrated one which will shred the meat.

2nd Step
Pre heat the oven to 250 degrees and place the ribs in a shallow tray, bone side down having brushed the ribs with a barbecue sauce. Add a little water to the tray, and cook for at least 2 hours. The key to tender juicy meat is the low heat and slow cooking.

3rd Step
At the end of the 2 hour period, open the oven and brush the ribs with more sauce and keep applying the sauce at intervals and cook for another 45 minutes or so. If you feel that the meat is becoming dry, add some juice to the tray, cover and cook for the rest of the time.
4th Step
Remove the ribs from the oven and leave to rest for at least 15 minutes before serving.
A little more complicated nevertheless another delicious recipe for Pork ribs in oven is also given below:
For this Recipe you will need:
A rack of spare ribs, whole or separated by your butcher
1 cup of water, 1 ? cups of sugar, 1 cup soy sauce, 1 tablespoon chili pepper flakes
1 head garlic, peeled and smashed,
? cup hoisin sauce, 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
Place the ribs in a pan and add the mashed garlic. Mix the soy sauce, sugar, ? the hoisin sauce and water and add the chili pepper flakes, and pour the marinade over the ribs and leave in refrigerator for 24 hours.
When ready to cook, remove the ribs from the pan and place in the oven and cook for at least 1 hour. Thereafter, baste the ribs with marinade and continue to cook basting on and off for another 30 minutes. In the meantime, mix the balance hoisin sauce with rice vinegar, remove the ribs from the oven and after brushing with the sauce/vinegar mix, broil until the sauce becomes caramelized.
Although this recipe takes a little time, it will be worth the time and effort put into it when the compliments start coming your way.
